[Resolved] Nether Portal Glitch

Elaborated description:
Some nether portals will glitch out and make you fall into the void. I lost all my valuable items because of this glitch.

Is the issue persistent?
No, It seems that it only applies to certain portals, the ones on the outer most edge of the map, where I established myself.

Hm, might be caused by slow chunk loading when you arrive at the Nether.
Does it occur when you've made a new portal and has entered the nether for the first time through that portal, or does it happen to existing and previously used portals?

I've added a work-around which makes it impossible to die from falling into the void, it should be safe to log on and use any portals.

This time it happened with an existing portal that I found in the overworld, I wanted to see where it went and I died. On a portal I made a similar thing happened, but instead of falling into the void I'm teleported to another random location on the nether world border. I usually just warp to a town outpost in the nether to avoid the glitchyness in fear of what inevitably happened.

Well it shouldn't kill you now at least, though I'm not entirely sure what will happen if you'd start falling into the void again.
It might just put you on top of the bedrock on top of the Nether.
