[Resolved] Townychat keeps telling me I'm talking to myself.

Elaborated description:
When I'm chatting in general it'll say "No one in range can hear you or you are alone in this channel"

Is the issue persistant?
Yes. Been happening for several days.

Upon a quick look for similar issues with towny this looks to be intentional and I'm not sure why they don't let us disable it:

v0.42:
    - Re-add message for when players chat but no one can hear them. Affects mostly localchat but can also been seen when players are the only one in a channel

That being said it's been reported when there as "Guest(s)" on the server so that part we should be able to fix.

Seeing as the guests have negated permissions, isn't it working "as intended" in that case?
Do the Guests actually see what the rest are typing?

They do see and can respond so the negated perm might as well be removed for now

Tried another approach instead, I removed the negative perms and added permissions to be able to speak.
Not certain how inconvenient it'll turn out to be, but hopefully not that awfully. Nothing a /ban can't fix anyway.

It's still doing it. Said I was pretty much talking to myself when I spoke some nonsense in game to test it.

There's not much that we can do sadly, at least not until towny releases a version that doesn't have that "feature".

Newest version has an option to turn the "feature" off w/ negated permissions.
Will be added shortly.
